LAKEPORT — Brian Thomas Pearson who allegedly shot his neighbor William Hardy was back in Superior Court Friday before Judge Arthur C Mann.

According to a Lake County Sheriff”s report, Pearson and another man waited in front of his neighbor”s driveway to confront him about an alleged stolen dog. Hardy told deputies that Pearson used a stun gun after an exchange of words and that Pearson then allegedly shot Hardy in the left thigh during a physical fight that ensued.

Pearson, 39, of Kelseyville, faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon, with a special allegation of using a .38-caliber double-barreled Derringer handgun and for personally inflicting great bodily injury on the victim.

Judge Mann continued the proceeding until Feb. 23 in dept. 2
