ST. HELENA — Jill Bailey didn”t have a double on the court Saturday night although the senior guard appeared to be everywhere at the same time for the Kelseyville Knights in a North Central League I interlock varsity girls” basketball game against the St. Helena Saints.

Bailey, the Kelseyville point guard, led the team with 13 points, seven rebounds, five assists and four steals as the Knights beat the Saints 48-24.

“She kind of led us across the board,” Kelseyville coach Jim Salmina said of the three-year veteran.

Jodi Snider added 10 points and Lauren Nixon and Kaitlyn Goff each had eight as Kelseyville improved to 11-8 overall. Nixon did foul out — for the second time in three games – and the Knights struggled at the free-throw line, hitting just five of 27 shots, but otherwise dominated the Saints.

Playing its second game in as many nights, Kelseyville appeared to be a step slow, according to Salmina.

“I think it affected us,” Salmina said. “We didn”t have the spark we usually have.”

Kelseyville hosts Lower Lake in a key NCL I North game tonight. Both teams are 1-1 in the North standings and are trying to stay close to Fort Bragg (3-0), which already owns victories over Lower Lake and Kelseyville. Junior varsity action starts at 5:30 p.m.
