NICE — A fourth suspect in the attempted carjackings on Highway 20 near Robinson Rancheria Casino & Bingo was arrested on Friday.
According to the Lake County Sheriff”s Department, the 14-year-old teenage suspect is not charged with carjacking. The suspect faces charges of conspiracy in the crime as well as throwing objects at moving vehicles.
On Wednesday, deputies and California Highway Patrol responded to a report of several subjects on Highway 20 near the casino were flagging cars down and attempting to carjack the vehicles. Three suspects were arrested.
“A fifth victim came forward today as well,” said Pat McMahon.
The investigation is continuing and more arrests are possible. Anyone with information is requested to contact LCSO at 263-4200
