Arnold Bruce Sutherland passed away at the age of 89.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Grace and Jean.
Father to Lois White (Richard), Barbara Rush (Leonard) and Brent Sutherland. Grandfather to Lori, Bart, Amy (David) and Adam (Sara). Great-grandfater to Amanda, Brett, Jared, Lauren, Mary, Mia and Andrew. He also leaves behind sisters Margaret Tansey and Ann Dusing of British Columbia.
Born in British Colombia Canada, he served his country in the Royal Canadian Air Force. After returning from the Second World War, he went into saw filing and eventually moved to Redway, Calif., where he established his own saw filing business. He then started his mobile home business that eventually brought him to Clearlake in 1976.
He was always telling jokes and could sing Danny Boy in his tenor voice that would bring tears to your eyes.
He enjoyed his Elks Club immensely and the wonderfull association with members in the club.
Services to be held at noon on Friday, Feb. 2, 2007 at the Elks Club, 6039 Crawford, Clearlake, (707) 994-9321.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Salvation Army.
