KELSEYVILLE — The Lake County Wine Alliance will distribute $115,700 to nonprofit organizations today at Steele Wines in Kelseyville. Proceeds from the seventh annual Lake County Wine Auction held in October will be distributed to 18 organizations.
The Lake County Wine Alliance is a nonprofit organization of Lake County wineries, winegrape growers and community supporters whose mission is to benefit the arts, health and community of Lake County.
A total of $530,002 has been contributed to Lake County nonprofit agencies and organizations between 2000-2006. Church Women United, Hospice Services of Lake County, Community Care HIV/AIDS Project, the Free Kitchen Project and many others have benefited from the work of this alliance.
