Charles Alfred West passed away in South Lake Tahoe on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007, at the age of 63.
Charles is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Carmen West of Clearlake Oaks; loving daughter, Tina Marie (Brian) Herron of Santa Rosa, devoted son, Charles Alfred West of Clearlake Oaks; adoring grandchildren, Heather Renee (Richard) Oakley of Clearlake, Justin Brian Herron and Brandon Charles Herron of Santa Rosa; sister, Rosie Cox of Oroville and brothers, Dennis (Marion) West of Clearlake Oaks, Harold (Debbie) West, Bob (Myrtle) West, both of Clearlake, remember him fondly. Charles was the great grandfather of two.
He was predeceased by two sisters and four brothers.
He was a member of the Carpenters Union, Local 751, working as a roofer for 17 years. Earlier he had been a commercial fisherman for 5 years out of Bodega Bay. He loved the solitude of the ocean and is remembered as a hard working, generous man who loved his family and cared for all around him.
Visitation is scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10 at the Chapel of Santa Rosa Memorial Park, 1900 Franklin Ave., Santa Rosa. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m.
