Mr. Knight says “Indian Beach” is in Glenhaven, which is in error because it”s Pomo Beach (Indian Beach is a private resort there) and in Clearlake Oaks (see county records).
I bring this up because we have occasional problems due to this confusion (and mis-mapping by Rand McNally and others). People get lost, including the tradesman who got mad at me and never showed up because he was looking around the CDF station (in Clearlake Oaks) instead of the Glenhaven Firestation (Northshore FPD). Also, Glenhaven is on the narrows of Clear Lake instead of the East Arm of Clear Lake. I”ve also aided visitors wandering around Glenhaven looking for Clearlake Oaks addresses and school district board candidates campaigning in the wrong districts. Thanks for correcting the error.
