Redbud Community Hospital invites Lake County residents to attend a “Day of Dance,” noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, at Lower Lake High School.
The event is free of charge and allows attendees to dance, have fun and learn how to prevent heart disease and stroke. It will feature dancing, dance groups, presentations by doctors and dietitians and health screenings. Dance groups performing include Serenity Place (salsa and swing) and Terrie Sullivan”s Junior Jazz and Fitness.
Cardiologist Dr. Whie Oh and registered dietitian Helen Sandager will give short presentations. Heart at Risk will offer free health screenings for total cholesterol, HDL, blood pressure, and blood sugar.
Redbud Community Hospital is a member of the Spirit of Women Hospital Network, a national coalition of healthcare facilities in more than 60 cities. More than 50 affiliate hospitals are hosting “Day of Dance for Cardiovascular Health” events. For more information, call 963-1912.
