The first annual Mardi Gras Ball in Middletown to benefit Parents and Community for Kids (PACK) and the Community Arts Academy will be held Saturday, Feb. 24, at the Middletown Lions Club. The event will begin at 3 p.m. with a dance concert showcasing the students of the Community Arts Academy, which offers classes in music, drama and dance in downtown Middletown.
Cocktails and a Cajun buffet featuring alligator sausage with red beans and rice, seafood gumbo, jambalaya, potatoes lyonnaise, macaroni and cheese, green salad, bread pudding and pecan pie will follow from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Capping off the evening will be dancing until 10 p.m. to authentic Cajun and Zydeco music with DJ and dance instructor Dana De Simone.
Tickets are $25 for adults, $12.50 for children ages 7 to 12, and $7 for children 6 and younger. To purchase tickets, call 987-8230.
