NICE — A Kelseyville man was struck by a car Feb. 27 on Highway 20.
According to a California Highway Patrol collision report, at approximately 6:18 p.m. Theresa Canevari, 28, of Hidden Valley Lake was driving her 1982 Honda Civic eastbound on Highway 20 West of Hudson.
Alfred McCullar, 53, of Kelseyville was walking southbound when he failed to use a crosswalk and walked into the path of Canevari”s vehicle. McCullar was struck by the vehicle and sustained major injuries that included a broken right shoulder and numerous lacerations and contusions and was taken to Sutter Lakeside Hospital for treatment. McCullar underwent surgery and is currently in stable condition according to Tammi Silva, public relations at SLH.
According to the CHP, McCullar appeared to be extremely intoxicated and an investigation is being conducted.
