EcoArts of Lake County is pleased to announce that submission applications are available for the 2007 EcoArts: Lake County Sculpture Walk, held each year at the Middletown County Trailside Park.
There is a $15 application fee. Submission deadline is March 15 with works to be installed from May 19 through May 27.
“We invite artists to participate in creating an extraordinary sculptural experience along the center trail of this beautiful 107-acre county park,” stated event coordinator Karen Turcotte. “The art works must have a minimal impact on the landscape. Materials and/or messages must relate to nature. The 2007 exhibit will be on display free to the public until mid-October.”
“This will be our fifth annual Sculpture Walk,” Turcotte added.

“We are proud of how quickly the Sculpture Walk has become a cultural asset for the community providing an artistic experience that is thought provoking, family friendly and free. This year will bring us to over 100 sculptures since we began,” stated Turcotte. “Last year the exhibit was created with the work of amazing local, Bay Area and national artists alongside the Clearlake Girl Scouts, Riviera Kid Connection, the students of Carle High School and the Lake County International Charter School. We are hoping for similar diversity of talent this year.”
EcoArts: Lake County Sculpture Walk offers an incredible venue, longevity of display, and a showcase of work on its Web site as well as through articles and press. An opening reception is scheduled for Sunday, June 10 on the center trail.
