Sandra “Mom” Trethewey, known to all as “Mom,” a seven-year resident of Lake County, passed away on March 4, 2007 in Lakeport. She was born Jan. 30, 1947 in Stockton. Formerly a 30-year resident of Campbell, she spent most of her working years in the food industry.
Sandy was member of the California Bowhunters, NRA, Ducks Unlimited and MADD.
Sandy is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Joseph Trethewey; five children, Roni Lopez of Stockton, Tammy Rust of Scotts Valley, Autumn Paul of Phoenix, Ariz., Joann Trethewey of Campbell and Tom Trethewey of Patterson; and 11 grandchildren. She is also survived by many close and dear friends, many of whom were like her children.
Sandy”s loves of her life were her children and grandchildren, being a mother, cooking for friends and family, helping anyone and everyone she met and her dogs, Kelsey, Saul, Star, Brandy and Tule.
A visitation will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 11 and a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 12 both at Jones Mortuary, Lakeport. An additional funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 14 at Darling-Fischer Chapel of the Hills, 615 No Santa Cruz Ave, Los Gatos followed by a graveside service at the Los Gatos Memorial Park, 2255 Los Gatos-Almaden Road, San Jose.
Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to Hospice of Lake County or Hospice of Santa Clara County.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Mortuary of Lakeport and Darling-Fischer Chapel of the Hills.
