Otto Sterling Swenson, known to everyone as Sterling, born May 29, 1929 and passed March 8, 2007 at his Lakeport home, at the age of 77.
He lived a full life — he loved to sail in the San Francisco Bay in his 30 foot sloop, and later in life, worked in his shop. He was a craftsman — he could do all the trades well, electrical, tile setting, plumbing and carpentry. He lived in San Francisco for 50 years and then moved to Lakeport seven years ago. His sense of humor was superb and he always could make his wife laugh.
Sterling is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Jane; daughters, Sharon (Dave) Bellefeuille and Noreen Swenson; three grandsons, Matthew, Brandon and Travis Bellefeuille; and six great-grandchildren; three half-sisters, Beverly Klein, Judy Nichols and Barbara Redding; two half-brothers, Bob and Jim Redding and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sterling will be missed by all.
No services will be held at his request. His body was donated to U.C. Medical Center, S.F. for medical student education.
