I find it very difficult to hear and read the constant criticism of the war in Iraq. It”s not fair to the soldiers who have given their lives, and to those that are currently serving. Many articles comment on how the soldiers hate what they are doing, that they should be pulled out and brought home because they don”t want to be there.
Although I may not agree with all aspects of the war, I do support our soldiers. They are freely giving their lives, and their time, fighting for the freedom of others. No it is not easy for those that serve, but the soldiers I have talked to are proud to serve. They were not drafted, they signed up to protect freedom.
Yes, the war is brutal; and yes there will be fatalities; but isn”t that true with any war that we fight? Why shouldn”t others be allowed the same freedoms that we enjoy daily? We don”t have to agree with why we entered the war nor why we are still there; however one question remains, have we been attacked on our soil since we waged war on the Middle East? No we have not!
The United States is a force not to be messed with. The message has been made clear and all attempts to generate another September 11 have been cut short. Let”s show our support for freedom. More importantly let”s show our support for our men and women protecting freedom!
