We, of Clear Lake Performing Arts and its Auxiliary, wish to thank our various communities for allowing us to use their facilities for our fund raisers, our regular monthly meetings and our big annual meeting, and other activities.
Regarding the letter from Mr. Meisle of Riviera Heights (March 10) we want to assure him that we are insured against any of the dire consequences that he imagines might happen, thus relieving his Association of any exposure
We also clean up after ourselves and leave the clubhouse just as we found it. Our annual Casino Night and Corned Beef Dinner. to which he refers, is one of our fund-raisers, and yes, wine and beer were served, for which we obtained a license from the liquor board. And we paid a fee for the use of the facility.
We also sponsor the annual Home Wine Makers Festival in Kelseyville, taking place this year on June 23, for which we also are licensed and insured. These and other events help us obtain the money needed to support our efforts in providing fine music for Lake County. These include scholarships for music students, and support for our symphony orchestra and youth orchestra.
If it were not for the civic minded spirit of organizations like the Riviera Heights Homeowners Association, and the Kelseyville Business Association our work would be much more difficult. Mr. Meisle can rest assured that Clear Lake Performing Arts poses no threat to his investment, and to the contrary, is helping to make Lake County a better place to live.
