LAKEPORT — Russell Stansbury and Andrew Parsons of Santa Rosa set several records while winning the 20th annual Holder Ford-Mercury Team Bass Tournament on Saturday and Sunday at Clear Lake.
The tournament was based out of Konocti Vista Casino, Resort and Marina.
Stansbury and Parsons caught the maximum 10 fish 70.7, a tournament record, and their five-fish Sunday weight of 44.31 pounds not only set a tournament record, but a Clear Lake record for five fish.
The duo set another tournament record with their big fish of 14.59 pounds. Their winnings came to $5,962.
Second place went to the team of Jerry Tilton of Lakeport and Wayne
Breazeale of Kelseyville with 66.07 pounds. They won $3,172.
John Alimpic and Phil Kleyn-Schoorel of Angwin came in third with 57.52 pounds and won $2,527.
A total of seven bass weighing more than 10 pounds each were weighed in (another tournament record). The tournament drew 129 teams and it took 43.87 pounds to finish in the money.
