The Clearlake City Council will consider appointing Dale Nieman as its city administrator during the Thursday, March 22, meeting.
The meeting will be called to order at 6 p.m. Thursday in City Council Chambers, 14050 Olympic Drive in Clearlake. A closed-session discussion is scheduled for 5 p.m., immediately prior to the regular meeting; it concerns public employee appointment for the position of City Administrator.
Clearlake welcomed a new administrator, Kathy Kivley, in February 2006 and terminated her contract nine months later. Since then Robert Van Nort and Dale Nieman have both served in an interim capacity as administrator for the City of Clearlake.
Nieman notes in his staff memorandum that he has enjoyed working for the city during the past six weeks as interim administrator, and that he would consider it an honor to be appointed to the position.
Complete agendas can be viewed at Clearlake City Hall during regular business hours, as can accompanying materials.
