Shame to see the caliber of officers in Clearlake

Eight months ago a can of worms was opened. They figured it would have never been exposed. Eight months later come to find out there”s a whole community that has experienced police harassment, police misconduct, police brutality and police committing criminal acts.

Sounds more like criminals and cowards behind badges who have manipulated, threatened people, and taken advantage of their authority to power move on the weak. For those who criticize my statements and actions, I will state again . . . there are decent officers who have pride and dignity about their position of authority on a professional level. There are officers who choose not to be involved in this corruption that we all know exists.

I have received forged tickets, three-page reports written up just for a seat belt ticket that the judge found to be completely ridiculous and immediately dismissed. I am constantly harassed only on one certain shift. Not once has this so-called officer written or signed any of my seven tickets. He has easily misled and manipulated other officers to indulge in his corruption which now has been completely exposed. His actions only opened doors to bigger problems and more corruption.

It is a complete shame to see such a low caliber of individuals given the authority to carry firearms and sworn to serve and protect. More like sworn to corrupt. And for the decent officers that don”t go along with that “Good ol” Boy” mentality we are well aware of those consequences you will face. Call 995-0749 for further details regarding next meeting.

Senior center needs to provide more activities

Who runs the Clearlake Senior Center? I am a 25-year resident and a senior. I was motivated to write this letter after I called to get an appointment to get my taxes prepared. Well, I was told I had to go to the Oaks or Lakeport Senior Center. What a surprise! This city has many seniors who have to go to other towns.

I”m sure we have the newest building in Lake County. I will call it an eyesore that offers much of nothing.

Wake up! Give our seniors something to do. We need movers and shakers who are willing to share their talents. Rise to new heights. Dream a new dream. Break the barriers. Get a revelation. A new vision. Some suggestions: bingo, bus tours, cooking classes, knitting, crocheting, water colors, shuffle board, gardening, on and on, etc., etc. I am aware of the state-of-the-art kitchen, the daily lunches, flu shots and chair exercises.

Please advertise if you decide to have new projects.

Thank you.
