Alfred “Pinky” Cantrell lost his battle with cancer March 13, 2007. He will be missed by his many friends and family, his beloved Lucerne Fire Dept, his job at Cal Trans and children of all ages. He was very humble and felt he didn”t deserve the many honors received. “He just loved helping people,” he said many times.

Born in Everton, Mo., July 22, 1935, to John and Dollie Cantrell. He had two brothers, John and Lloyd (deceased), sisters, Margurite, Lucille and Easter.

He graduated from Ash Grove High School, 1953.

He was a proud Marine, serving from 1953 to 1957, in the Korean War.

Pinky leaves his wife, Alyce Cantrell; daughter, Brenda Mueller; stepson, Steven Thedorf; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and his first great-great- grandaughter Emily Jo.

A barbecue and potluck will be held at the Lucerne Fire House and will be announced.
