Cowboy died peacefully at home in the company of his loving companion of 19 years, Laura Matthews.
Jim began his life in Southern California with a career in truck driving and was also a self employed painter.
James served two terms in Vietnam as a medic.
Cowboy resided in Timber Cove for over 20 years, where he shared laughter, good times and love with his many friends. The last five years of his life he resided on Cobb Mountain.
He will always be remembered for his caring and quick wit. He was always a gentleman and loved by many.
He is survived by his daughter, Judy Newberry; son, Manual Delas; companion Laura Matthews; and two grandchildren, Troy and Haley.
