Mr. Blair is the advanced math teacher at Kelseyville High School. He arrived last year from Pennsylvania and was last year”s basketball coach. I have had him for two years now and I know he is a strict teacher that expects the best out of his students. Receiving less than half of their full potential is unacceptable. But that is what I enjoyed in his cl ass. Being able to challenge myself, and to see what I am really capable of.
He changed the way students viewed their school and their lives. But unfortunately, do to the Kelseyville Board of Directors and certain parents he will not be returning after this summer to our school. Which means that now the students that are expecting to get into a good college, will be weak in one major subject, math.
Although I really wouldn”t need to, he and his family will be successful no matter what obstacles come their way. They are a great example to all of us. What he has taught my peers and me was to use our school wisely. If that is a crime then he is guilty, he and many other teachers that care about the future of America.
I would like to thank Mr. Blair publicly for opening our eyes to the real situations that our community endures. He has such a great passion for teaching math and has shown it in many different ways- even if some people disagree; it doesn”t matter to the majority of the students at KHS. He is a great teacher and that is final; no one could ever take that away from him.
The students that support Mr. Blair will always keep in touch with him. The board might have taken him from our school but not from our lives.
