After recently moving to Lake County not too long ago, I am happy to say that I love it! I moved here to escape the noise, pollution, crime and congestion of the San Jose area.
I read the Record-Bee nearly everyday, and I am sad to report that I am appalled that protesters are gathering on Main Street to rally for these criminals that were witnessed stabbing a boy who was visiting the area, nearly killing him, then accusing our law enforcement officers of racism?
The Lakeport police were merely doing their jobs, and as usual are being chastised for it. I honestly do not believe there is corruption or racism present here and the suspects” families are truly in denial if they think so.
The brave and courageous law enforcement in this county ought to be praised everyday they go to work for their efforts at not allowing this community to turn into another Oakland, at trying to maintain the “small town” feel.
If these families feel so wronged here, maybe they ought to pick up and move to San Jose or Oakland where crime is much more rampant, maybe they will be happier there and then be able to truly protest “racism” there.
As I said before, I am trying to escape those problems and that environment and law enforcement out here ought to be honored and praised for their hard work.
