OK, Record-Bee, how about putting Lake County”s best foot forward — On the front page that is!

I know I”m not the only one when I say that I”m disappointed to see how much front page publicity is given to topics like murder and stabbings.

In Thursday”s edition (March 29), at the top of the first page, there are three people charged in a murder, and then, right below it is the biggest bass tournament this county has ever seen.

Put the negative issues on the second or third pages of your paper, and show the public what good news is about on the front page. Right now, there are hundreds of people from other states in the county and ESPN, and if they read our local paper, they would be led to believe that we”re a small county with a lot of problems.

It seems too much content is given to the negative, and more should be exposed about the positive events in the county.

We are rapidly closing in on the tourist season, and it would be nice to see on the front page the positive things that are happening in the county and there are many.

We have a lot of active clubs and organizations that are doing positive things, so why not share those stories on Page One?

Another positive observation is that I see that Denise Rushing has hit the ground running and is hosting another town hall meeting. It seems like this should be a challenge to all supervisors to do the same for their districts. Lake County is a great place to live, so lets show the world that first.
