Robert Michael Alvord, born in Los Angeles Oct. 23, 1943, succumbed to cancer March 28, 2007. Bob was at the home of his long time friends, George and Betty Guidie in West Sacramento when he passed away, just 3 months after he lost his wife.

Bob and Judy bought Bent Fir Cabinets (Bent Fir Screen) in Nice, in 1987. Bob was a gifted craftsman and he was passionate about the quality of his work. He respected his crew for their abilities and never asked more of them than he did of himself. Through his work in the county and the greater Sacramento area he made many friends.

He loved his dogs, motorcycles, RVs and ATV”s.

He is survived by his only son, Mike Hill, who resides in New York and is a college professor; brother, Steve from Clearlake, two step-daughters, Debi and Stefani; and granddaughter, Alicia.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy, mother, father and brother Gene.

Bob and Judy will be missed and remembered by all their friends.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 2 at Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary, 1625 High St. Lakeport.
