GEYSERVILLE — Playing his second three-set match in two days, Clear Lake High School”s K.C. White rallied to beat Omar Sanchez 6-7 (7-5), 6-4, 6-3 in second singles Wednesday to lead the Cardinals past the Geyserville Bronchos 4-1 in Coastal Mountain Conference tennis action at Geyserville.
White dropped a three-set match to Kelseyville”s Nancy Tannous on Tuesday, with two of the three sets going to the tie-breaker.
Clear Lake swept the singles portion of Wednesday”s match as both Veronica Freitas beat Ryan Fairlee 6-2, 6-2 in first singles, and Rawley Butler defeated David Hadley 5-1, 7-6 (7-1) in third singles.
In doubles action, Clear Lake picked up another win in first doubles as Nick Brandon and Josh Hebert knocked off Joe Bensin and Petie Bensin 6-1, 6-4. Geyserville picked up a win in second doubles, where Amanda Matson and Alice Read beat Taylor Whipple and Claire Mansell 6-1, 6-4.
Clear Lake travels to Cloverdale on Friday.
