Marie Rita Wright, age 87, passed away on April 2, 2007 in Lucerne. She was born July 11, 1919 in Windsor and was a resident of Lake County for 65 years.
Marie worked locally as a skilled nursery person for 15 years. She was a founding member of the Clearlake Trowel & Trellis Club, longtime member of Konocti Art Society, longtime Pink Lady at Sutter Lakeside, and longtime volunteer director for the American Cancer Society.
She loved to garden and paint, loved to hunt for many years, and loved the outdoors, particularly “her mountain.”
She had a loving generous heart, and will be missed by all who knew her.
Marie is survived by her sons, Garret and David; daughter-in-law, Cherie; grandchildren, Matt, Wendy and Jill; brother, Walt; sisters, Annie and Rose; and brother-in-law, Floyd.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 12th, at Jones Mortuary, Lakeport.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any of the following: American Cancer Society, Trowel & Trellis Club, Pink Ladies, Konocti Art Society, or Hospice.
