PETALUMA — Ryan Hansford pitched a three-hitter and struck out six and the Clear Lake High School junior varsity baseball team beat Maria Carrillo of Santa Rosa 13-2 in the opening round of the Frank Wright Invitational at McNear Park.

The game was called after five innings because of the 10-run rule.

Ryan Richardson and Mitchell Harrison went 2-for-3 with three RBIs for the Cardinals (11-2) and Ryan Lunas went 1-for-2 with a triple and two RBIs.

Clear Lake plays Cardinal Newman of Santa Rosa today at 9 a.m. in the semifinals. If the Cardinals win, they”ll play for the championship at 3 p.m. If they lose they”ll play for third place at noon.
