CLEARLAKE — A Clearlake man was arrested Tuesday, when officers discovered approximately 150 plants believed to be marijuana at a residence he owned, according to a press release from the Clearlake Police Department Tuesday afternoon.

Martin Stull, age 44, of Clearlake, was charged with cultivation of marijuana after agents from the Lake County Narcotics Task Force obtained a search warrant and examined the premises.

According to the narrative, a Clearlake city employee in the area of 14500 Emory Avenue had reported smelling a strong odor, which that person believed to marijuana, and a call was placed to the Clearlake Police Department.

The narrative further states that police officers who responded to the call were able to confirm the strong order as coming from the resident, and the report noted the residence “had all of its windows completely covered&”

The Lake County Narcotics Taks Force was called, and after obtaining a search warrant for the residence, they discovered what was described as “A commercial growing operation inside with approximately 150 plants.”

A police spokesman had no further comment on the case as he said the investigation was ongoing. There was no other information released as the Record-Bee went to press Tuesday night.
