CLEARLAKE — Local police officer Ray Brady has received a nomination for America”s Most Wanted All-Star award. Officer Brady has been a police officer for six years and currently serves as the School Resource Officer for the Clearlake Police Department, working with students throughout the Konocti Unified School District.

Officer Brady has a chance to become one of the weekly finalist selected in the program. All finalists will be entered for the grand prize, which includes a $10,000 cash prize and trip to the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series All-Star Challenge in May.

For the third consecutive year, America”s Most Wanted television show has teamed up with Sprint Nextel in honoring first responders by sponsoring the AMW All-Star Awards. Through online voting, the program recognizes one All-Star finalist over the course of eight weeks. Each finalist will receive an AMW duffel bag filled with AMW gear and will be entered in the voting pool for the grand prize.

Voters may vote for a nominee online each day up to the April 15 deadline by visiting www.amw.com/allstar/2007/index.cfm. Only one vote per day per e-mail address will be counted. Just visit the aforementioned web site and enter Ray Brady in the Nominee Search Window and cast your vote.

Weekly finalists will be profiled on America”s Most Wanted on the FOX network, 9 p.m. Saturdays.

Officer Brady has been the School Resource Officer for the past two years. He is a member of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Council and works with the Families and Schools Together (FAST) program, which is designed to build protective measures for children and empower parents to the primary prevention agents for their own children.

Officer Brady received recognition for his effort with local youth in 2006 with an award from Konocti Unified School District along with an award from the District Lake County Office of Education for outstanding service.
