LAKEPORT — A preview 0f the 2007 auto racing season takes place Sunday afternoon from noon until 4 p.m. at the Lakeport Speedway, where drivers, mechanics and crews will be testing their new race cars during the annual playday.

The first points race of the 2007 season is April 28.

The annual playday practice session is open to all race cars. Entrance to the pit area is $15. Race fans can watch the cars from the grandstands at no charge. Lakeport Speedway”s newest division, the Sliders, will debut on the 1/6-mile dirt oval in the center of the infield.

Northern California Racing Association”s four regular divisions the modifieds, mini-stocks, bombers and bonus bombers will be a part of the “King of the Hill Challenge Series” and will be running at both Lakeport and Ukiah speedways on alternating weekends during the summer months.

Lakeport”s season opener on April 28 features all four of these classes as well as the popular Pro-4 modifieds.
