Randal Bryant Gross, age 24, of San Francisco, passed into heaven on Tuesday, March 20, 2007. He leaves behind his mom, Janet Miley and sister Michele of Clearlake Oaks; grandmother, Mildred Miley and aunt Joyce Miley of Greenbrae. He also leaves behind his best friend Brandon Storm of San Luis Obispo.
Randy was born in San Francisco, raised in Petaluma and in 2000 moved to Clearlake Oaks with his family. There he learned to water ski, got his first job delivering pizzas, and met many “cool” friends. In 2001, he toured Europe on an academic exchange program. He graduated from Lower Lake High School and later attended Sequoia Institute in Fremont. He worked as a mechanic for Sears in Oakland and at various places in San Francisco.
He moved to San Luis Obispo where his buddy Brandon taught him how to surf, but missed the city life and moved back to San Francisco. He enjoyed exploring San Francisco with his mom when she”d visit, visiting the Haight Ashbury District, always fascinated with the “Hippy Generation,” envisioning what it was like.
Randy had a great sense of humor, a wonderful smile and was just a happy-go-lucky guy. He loved animals, especially his two yellow labs, Rosa and Lou. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends and spending time with his grandma and aunt in Greenbrae.
Rand, you really lit up our lives. We love you and will miss you very much.
Private services were held. Inurnment will be at Woodland Cemetery, Woodland.
