Danny Allen Fields, age 48, of the Iowa Veterans Home, formerly of Lake County, died early Tuesday morning.
Danny was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, the son of Richard “Sonny” Fields and Diane Fields McDaniel.
He served his country proudly as a U.S. Marine at Camp Pendleton. Most of his adult life was spent in Lake County, where he was employed at Home Stake Mining Company.
In 2000, Danny relocated to Iowa, where he lived until his death.
Survivors include his son, Danny Allen Fields, Jr. of Lakeport, and brother Guy Fields of Iowa.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 26 at the Iowa Veterans Home Cemetery, Marshalltown, Iowa.
In Danny”s memory donations may be made to the Iowa Veterans Home unit of residence, 1301 Summit Street, Marshalltown, Iowa, 50158.
