This letter is in regards to folks who let their children throw rocks at the ducks in Lake County. What is up with this? My husband and I have our coffee every early evening at the Lucerne beach front to enjoy the sunset because I work the night shift.
The other day while sitting and enjoying our coffee, this group of kids with adult supervision were chucking big rocks at the ducks, and nothing was said about the goings on. I was so horrified that I said something. The kids ignored me, so the second time, I said that I would call the Sheriff”s office. The most horrifying thing about this was the kids were a part of a cleanup crew at Lucerne. The adults walked away and were grumbling angrily at my husband and I for having said something. What is wrong with this picture?
Discipline seems to be a thing of the past. I”m sorry but I won”t tolerate animal abuse in any condition whether I have to do the disciplining or not. I stepped up to the plate because obviously the adults don”t seem to know any better either.
It makes me wonder why we have kids out of control and have no direction in life. Might this have something to do with “no respect” for anything around them? Sad to think of this kind of stuff going on all the time. This was not the first time my husband and I have corrected this type of behavior either.
