KELSEYVILLE — Leader Jared Stone of Lakeport was one of three Lake County fishermen to make the cut for the fourth and final day of the Stren Series Western Division bass tournament following the third-round weigh-in on Friday at Konocti Harbor Resort & Spa in Kelseyville.

Only the top 10 pros and top 10 co-anglers from an original field of 189 move on to the finals. Both the pros and co-anglers carry their three-round cumulative weight totals into today”s fourth round.

Stone brought a five-fish limit of 31 pounds, 15 ounces — the best individual total on Friday — to the scales, boosting his tournament-leading total to 80-15.

Brian Nollar of Homer, Alaska, is second place through three rounds with 74-2.

Joining Stone among Lake County fishermen to reach today”s finals were Kelseyville”s Wayne Breazeale, who is sitting in sixth place with 66-14, and Clearlake”s Jeff Billings, who is eighth overall at 66-8.

Also qualifying for today”s final round were Jason Borofka of Salinas, third with 72-8; Michael Tuck of Antelope, fourth with 68-11; Jim Davis of San Jose, fifth with 68-9; Gino Campiotti of Manteca, seventh with 66-9; Cody Meyer of Grass Valley, ninth with 66 pounds even; and Roy Hawk of Salt Lake City, 10th with 64-15.

While Stone brought the heaviest weight to the scales on Friday, Mike O”Shea of San Ramon also topped 30 pounds ? 30-8 to be exact — but missed the cut. He finished in a tie for 13th place with Chad Martin of Plumas Creek at 63-11.

No Lake County fisherman made the final-round cut in the co-angler division, where the leader is Kyle Clement of Anderson with 63-1. Gary Haraguchi of Brentwood is next with 55-8, just six ounces ahead of Bruce McCune of Anderson (55-2).

Also advancing to today”s fourth round are Steve Ericksen of San Jose (54-13), Andy Scholz of Reno (54-11); Tracy Phillips of Frankfort, Kentucky (53-7); Zachary Holwerda of Cave Creek, Arizona (52-15); Taylor Parsons of Sutter Creek (52-15); Roy Desmangles Jr. of Lincoln (52-12); and J.R. Wright of Truckee (52-10).

McCune had the best single-day weight on Friday with a five-fish limit of 23-14. Brian Carnahan of Flagstaff, Arizona, weighed in 23 pounds but missed the cut, finishing 16th at 51-3.
