Seldom have I read a letter to the editor as hateful as the one written by Allison Gibbs (Record-Bee, April 25). I guess the answer to any disagreement between individuals or societies is to kill the suspected individuals and ask questions later. At least Gibbs” philosophy is in complete agreement with President Bush.

It”s time for everyone to quit using Sept. 11, 2001 as an excuse for racism. Let”s all just make a resolution to ourselves that we will recognize racism based on religious or racial profiling when we see it. The only Muslims we can hold responsible for Sept. 11 are the individuals in the Al Qaida organization at the time of that event.

Violence begets violence. Preemptive war against a nation or nations you “suspect” is no different than the excuses Hitler used preceding all his invasions in WWII. Do we hold it against the Allied countries for armed resistance against the Axis powers after those invasions?

We should not be in the least surprised that Iraqi citizens have exactly the same reaction.
