LAKEPORT — A Lakeport man arrested by his mother was released after posting $100,000 bail Saturday, less than two hours after he was arrested for causing damage to his father”s property.

Lakeport resident Nicholas Franklin Ivicevich, 38, reportedly paid a visit Saturday morning to his parents” home, where the first thing he did was climb up to the rooftop and cut the couple”s telephone line. Ivicevich proceeded to use an ax to break some skylights on the rooftop, then a kitchen window and a sliding glass door, according to Lake County Sheriff”s Office Chief Deputy Russ Perdock.

An LCSO report said deputies responded at 9:51 a.m. to the 2100 block of Scott”s Valley Road, where they received the private person”s arrest made by Ivicevich”s mother Maralyn.

The charges for his arrest included two misdemeanors, one for damaging the phone line and one for vandalism. Ivicevich admitted to the charges before being taken into custody, according to Perdock.

According to the report, the victims did not know what could have motivated Ivicevich”s actions.

Ivicevich was reportedly separated from his wife since January due to a recurring drug problem.

Less than two hours after being booked into the Lake County Jail, Ivicevich had posted the $100,000 bail and was released, according to jail staff. Perdock said the bail was raised at the victims” request.

Ivicevich is due to appear in court July 6.
