LAKEPORT — Armando Martinez and Brandon White won two running events apiece to lead the Clear Lake varsity boys to an easy win on Wednesday during the annual Lake County Track Meet at Clear Lake High School.

The Cardinals piled up 154 points, spread out between the running and field events, to beat out runner-up Kelseyville (69 points) by a comfortable margin.

Martinez had firsts in the 100 meters (12 seconds flat) and the 200 (24.6), while White swept the hurdle events, winning the 110 in 16.8 and the 300 in 41.9.

Martinez also ran legs on Clear Lake”s winning 4×100 and 4×400 relay teams.

In the varsity girls” competition, Kelseyville won the team title with 121 points and Upper Lake came in second with 66.

Amanda Horne and Kylie Olson each won two events for the Knights. Horne”s firsts came in the 100 (13.6) and 200 (28.9), while Olson won the 800 in 3 minutes, 2.5 seconds and the 1,600 (6:48.9).

Kim Bouillerce picked up firsts for Upper Lake in the high jump, clearing 5 feet, 2 inches, and the triple jump (31-0).
