Lori Ann Hagan passed peacefully at home surrounded by those who loved her on May 9, 2007, at the age of 42, after a courageous battle against cancer.

She was born in 1964 in Nebraska and moved to Lake County with her family in 1965 and attended Upper Lake schools then on to Yuba College to pursue her career in cosmetology.

Lori was a wonderful wife and mother, creating a home where everyone felt welcome. She loved her family and friends wholeheartedly and lived life to the fullest. She was the life of the party and had fun just being herself. She loved to joke, come up with fun things to do, and have fun being silly doing it. When a lighter moment was needed, she would break the ice with, “Did anyone see that Bears game?”

Lori loved the “kid” holidays creating the best Halloween decorations, homemade Valentines and Easter eggs. She treasured the family vacations they took with extended family and enjoyed scrap booking those trips to share with others.

Lori took great pride in her 21 year career as a hair stylist and greatly enjoyed her relationships with her clients.

She is survived by her husband and the love of her life for 25 years, John Hagan; daughters, Jennifer and Laura; parents, Richard and Barbara Schmidt; grandmother, Gerri George; grandfather, Julius Schmidt; sister, Barbara Jean Peterson; father and mother in-law, James and Janet Hagan; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jay (Dana) Hagan, Jeff (Julie) Hagan; nieces and nephews, Missy, Rocky, Jenna, Jessica, Jeffery, Alex and Emma and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in California and Nebraska.

We will miss her beautiful smile, her uplifting spirit and the joy she brought into our lives, but we will be left with countless fond memories etched in our hearts. The family is encouraged knowing that Lori is no longer suffering and is rejoicing with Jesus in Heaven.

A wise grandma once said, “If you make one lasting friendship in a lifetime, you are blessed.” Lori made many. God speed, Lori.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 19 at Lakeport Christian Center, 455 S. Forbes St. Lakeport.
