Marvin G. Lake passed away on May 5, 2007 at his home in Lakeport. Mr. Lake was born in Aurora, Colo. He was employed as a bus driver for the Santa Clara County Transit System for 22 years.

He was especially proud of his World War II service in Pappy Boyington”s “Black Sheep Squadron” and his U.S. Marine career from 1943-1946.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Dorothy Lake of Lakeport; daughters, Sharon Stewart of Kansas and Nancy Bradford of Lakeport; sons, Tim Stephen of Kansas and Donald Anderson of Lakeport. He also loved spending time with his 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He will be truly missed.

A funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday May 11 at Oak Hill Funeral Home, 300 Curtner Ave., San Jose.

Donations may be made to Hospice of Lake County, 1717 So. Main, Lakeport, CA
