PETALUMA — Ryan Hansford suffered his first loss of the season and the Clear Lake Cardinals fell 2-0 to the St. Vincent Mustangs in a North Central League I South junior varsity baseball game on Tuesday at Petaluma.

Hansford allowed only three hits in six innings, striking out three and walking one. He”s 7-1 on the season.

Ryan Richardson (2-for-3), Bryan Edwards (2-for-3) and Aaron Marshall (1-for-3) all had doubles for the Cardinals (18-5). Ryan Grady also went 1-for-3.

Hansford carried a no-hitter into the bottom of the fifth, when St. Vincent scored its first run. The Mustangs added an insurance run in the sixth.

Clear Lake closes out the 2007 season today at home against Tomales at 4 p.m.
