FORT BRAGG — Dylan Galusha expended just 82 pitches in a complete-game effort against Fort Bragg, but the Middletown Mustangs fell 9-7 to the Timberwolves in a North Central League I North junior varsity baseball game on Tuesday in Fort Bragg.

Both teams struggled in the field, committing five errors.

“No one backed down, but errors killed us,” Middletown coach Ron Hays said as the Mustangs slipped to 3-4 in the North standings and 12-8 overall.

Fort Bragg leads the North with a 7-0 record.

Galusha scattered six hits and allowed just one earned run. He struck out one and walked five.

John Hays went 1-for-4 with two RBIs for Middletown, which closes out its season Friday at home against Kelseyville at 4 p.m. Tony Correia and Dylan Pastor knocked in a run apiece for the Mustangs.
