Miki Mallory of Eagle Point, Ore., went to be with the lord on May 18th 2007, at the age of 88. Miki passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side. She ascends to heaven to join her first husband Donald Downing and son Barry Downing. Miki was born on Nov. 15,1918 in Larned, Kan. Miki moved to Eagle Point in 2007, after residing in Lakeport for 25 years.
She loved to cook, read and watch movies. She was a Christian her whole life serving the lord as an active church member, a Sunday school teacher for many years and as a prayer warrior for her family and friends. She loved to travel and traveled to many places in her life, taking her family with her on trips to many different places in the world. She was active in TOPS Club, Gideons International, Red Hat Society and Women”s AGLOW. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Her first husband and the father of her sons, Donald Downing, passed away in 1980. Her son Barry Lee Downing preceded her in death in 1984. She remarried in 1986. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Ellsworth Mallory of Redding; sons, Ronald Downing and wife Flo, and Dennis Downing; grandchildren, Donald Downing and wife Terri, Dan Downing and wife Renee”, Pam Arnold and husband Tim, and Bessalee Downing; great-grandchildren, Trevor Downing, T.J. Arnold, Brandice Downing, Ashley Arnold and Danielle Downing.
Memorial services to celebrate her life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 9 at Butte Creek Baptist Church, 429 North Royal Ave., Eagle Point, OR 97524, Pastor Chris Naranjo, officiating.
