CLEARLAKE — The circumstances surrounding the death of Steven David Medvin, 45, of Clearlake, are under investigation after he was found dead at the scene of an apparent stabbing, according to the Clearlake Police Department.
A Tuesday afternoon press release following the Monday incident said officers responded to the 15000 block of 31st Avenue following a 911 call reporting a physical fight between father and son. They found Steven David Medvin dead in his home, the victim of numerous apparent stab wounds.
The suspect was identified as Justin Robert Medvin, 22, the son of the deceased. He is in custody at the Lake County Jail for homicide, said the press release.
The cause of death is pending a forensic autopsy, scheduled for “a later time” in Sonoma County, according to the CPD.
