Memorial Day Monday turned tragic in Clearlake as police responded to a residential disturbance only to find a victim dead of multiple stab wounds.
According to a press release from the Clearlake Police Department (CPD), officers arrested 22-year-old Justin Medvin of Clearlake in connection with the killing of his father, Steven David Medvin.
Officers responded to a 911 call reporting a fight between father and son. Officers located Steven Medvin dead inside his residence; he had reportedly sustained numerous stab wounds to the body.
Official cause of death is pending a forensic autopsy, which is scheduled for a later time in Sonoma County.
Justin Medvin was booked in the Lake County jail and remained in custody as of Tuesday, May 29. He is being charged with homicide.
