The Broadway smash hit play, “Nunsense,” is such delightfully wonderful NONsense that it had us all laughing from beginning to end.
The play is a very nicely-crafted plot of a nunnery”s dinner gone crazily astray; resulting in the demise of some 56 nuns, and the predicament of how to bury the last remaining four, since they have run out of funds.
Not a beat is missed as the remaining nuns produce a musical reveue to raise funds that is a clever and very well-crafted show, thanks to the excellent guidance of director Carol Dobusch. Having the show produced as Theater in the Round is a special treat that draws the audience ringside into the performance.
As always, Kathleen Escude, as the Reverend Mother Superior, shows her acting skills and wonderful voice projection. Suna Flores” wit, voice and acting talents add tremendously to blending the performance.
Becky Martin as Sister Amensia steals the stage with her bequiling smile, puppet and innocence … or perhaps, not so innocent. Cathy O”Connel , Reiko Tomash … the fine mucisians … too many actors and actresses to mention who added their wonderful talents in dance and voice to this production.
We can only look forward to viewing the next performance and invite you to join us. The energy and talent is amazing!
