The subject of global warming keeps coming up in these pages, either in the commentator”s columns that are printed, or in the letters written in reply. The nay-sayers always seem to add a pot shot at Al Gore as if that will take away some of the credibility of the information presented in his film “An Inconvenient Truth.”
I have seen the film several times and I find the data compelling. I urge everyone to see the movie and make up your own mind.
But more important, there is another inconvenient truth that all Americans need to address.
Every day the names and faces of our fellow citizens killed in Iraq and Afghanistan are shown on television. These men and woman who have given the greatest sacrifice for all of us deserve the highest respect of all of us who are the recipients of their valor. Please take the time to look at their faces and make up your own mind as to the direction our Country should take. I won”t preach to you, those photos and names say everything.
