Well here we are past the election where voters put the Democrats in charge of Congress and the voters who put them back in charge are upset because more hasn”t been done to stop this war.
I”m here to tell those that are upset that only a battle has been won in the world of political power in this country.
The next biggest battle is to take Bush”s power away from him and his party. His power of the veto will stop any Democratic try to stop the war. Remember that there are still enough Republican Congressmen and women in office to stop any attempt to stop the war.
I believe the law requires a two-thirds vote of Congress to over-ride a Presidential veto. Like it or not the Republicans will vote with Bush. They may bluster how they two are tired of this war but they will vote the party line.
The Democrats don”t have a two-thirds majority in Congress. The job isn”t over. It”s a good start, but that”s all it is.
My suggestion is continue to show Bush and his administration what a lousy job they have done for this country at the ballot box and any other legal means possible!
