KELSEYVILLE — Five Kelseyville High School sports teams have been designated as scholastic championship teams by the North Coast Section based on their academic achievement during the recently completed 2006-07 sports season.
To receive the designation of scholastic championship team, a team must finish in the top three in GPA in its sport across the entire section.
Kelseyville teams to receive that distinction were girls” track (3.64), volleyball (3.43), varsity girls” basketball (3.35), softball (3.27) and baseball (3.0).
Additionally 10 other Kelseyville teams earned scholastic honors for maintaining GPAs of 3.0 or higher. Those teams were tennis, junior varsity baseball, golf, boys” track, varsity boys” basketball, JV boys” basketball, JV girls” basketball, JV volleyball, girls” soccer and cross country.
Ninety-five Kelseyville athletes also were honored for maintaining GPAs of 3.5 or higher.
