The Lake Community PRIDE Foundation takes great pride in the jazz groups to be presented this year at the Ployez Winery on Sunday, June 17.
Bill Noteman and the Rockets will perform at this ninth year of the Clear Lake Jazz Festival. Jeriel Franzel of PRIDE said she was “blown away” hearing them as an opener for B.B. King at the Konocti Resort earlier this year.
“I knew we had to have them at the Jazz Festival this year and I am thrilled that they accepted,” Franzel said.
Other groups on the bill include Herb Gibson and Friends, Sam Littlejohn with his Lou Rawls tribute, the Clear Lake Jazz Ensemble and the Bob Drew Quartet. The Bob Drew group is featuring the “premier jazz guitarist in the San Francisco bay area” by the name of Randy Vincent.
“Last, but certainly not least, is the real reason the Jazz Festival keeps going, the Kelseyville High School Jazz Combo, under the leadership of 17-year-old Hamed Hokamazadeh,” stated Franzel.
Harbor House Espresso, of Lakeport, as well as Ployez Winery. will be on hand for the audience to purchase foods and drinks of their choice.
Ployez Winery is located at 11171 South Highway 29 in Lower Lake. The hours will be from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. There will be charge of $10 per car for admission. Bring chairs or blankets and possibly shade for this event.
