In response to Ms. Holliday”s belief that some dog kennels are overcharging — perhaps she needs to make sure she knows the rules and policies before she leaves an animal at a kennel.
If they can”t provide the information in writing, then she should go elsewhere. The kennel I use lets me know before I drop off the animal what the requirements are for not incurring additional fees.
If I choose to be a “little early” or a “little late” I am well aware that I may be charged accordingly.
As the saying goes “Caveat Emptor” — Buyer Beware. What it should be is Buyer Be Aware.
Fortunately, kennels don”t have a long list of hidden costs that hotels and motels may tack on “just because.”
